Cobolt Speechmaster Voxcom Instructions Your Voxcom has been designed to enable you to attach labels to almost any items you wish to identify. You record messages on the individual labels which are then played back when the labels are inserted into the Voxcom unit. There are two models of the device. One comes with fifty labels and the other with one hundred. The Voxcom has a speaker and microphone on one of the flat faces and is normally held with these facing you. A slot on one of the shorter edges should be at the top. This will position the spring loaded record button on the left edge. To record a message onto a card hold the device about 9 inches from your mouth, hold the record button down and insert a card into the slot. Please note that the hole in the corner of the card should be at the top right. Press the card in until you feel a click. You can now record your message. You have about ten seconds of recording time available on each card. Once complete release the card. To replay a card simply insert it into the Voxcom. Do not press the record button as this will erase the current message. You can change the messages on the cards as many times as you wish. The Voxcom is supplied with several methods for attaching the cards including rubber bands, adhesive backed Velcro, adhesive backed magnets and plastic ties. Just above the record button is a slotted volume adjustment knob. Using a small screwdriver or fingernail turn this clockwise to increase or anti-clockwise to decrease the volume. To replace the battery it is necessary to remove the four recessed Philips screws in the back of the case in order to lift off the back to gain access to the PP3 9 volt alkaline battery.
