THERMO-CHEF TALKING FOOD THERMOMETER INSTRUCTIONS

About your cooking thermometer;
This product is easy to use and great for both indoor and outdoor cooking.  The thermometer comes complete with two temperature reading utensils; a detachable spatula and a fork.  The large backlit LCD display shows the temperature and the voice announces the degree of cooking e.g. ‘Rare’ or ‘Well done’.  This device has an automatic turn off after 15 minutes, as well as speaking in English, Spanish and French. 

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES;
Requires 2 x AA Alkaline batteries
Remove battery cover which is located on the back of the handle towards the narrower end.  Feel for a ridge shaped arrow and push up towards the thicker end of the handle.  This action will allow the cover to pop up slightly and to be removed.  The first battery needs to be placed into the compartment towards the thicker end of the handle with the protruding “plus” end pointing towards the narrow end of the handle.  The second battery needs to be placed in the same way but pushed against the previous one.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE;
The control buttons for the thermometer are found on the main handle and comprise three buttons.  These are laid out with a slightly larger button in the middle.  As you hold the handle sideways, the first button is situated above the others.  This is your Fahrenheit / Centigrade button.  The second button, which is slightly larger and red, is situated in the middle: this turns the thermometer on as well as activating the speech.  The third button switches between the languages.  Once you have snapped on one of the three cooking utensils the unit becomes functional.  Turn on by pressing the middle SPEAK/ON switch.  At this point the LCD display will NOT be showing a temperature, but will display °F or °C and is ready to use.

ATTACHMENT INSTRUCTIONS;

THERMOFORK:  Click the ThermoFork onto the control handle, ensuring the attachment clicks firmly into place.  Turn the appliance on using the middle SPEAK/ON button.  Insert the fork’s prongs halfway into the thickest part of the meat and hold until the sustained temperature has been reached, usually 6 - 10 seconds.  The LCD display will then show the degree of cooking and temperature.  Press the SPEAK/ON button and the fork will announce the degree of cooking.
The ThermoFork is dishwasher safe.

THERMOSPATULA:  Directions for use are as above, except the temperature probe is situated on the side of the spatula not within the spatula itself.  
The ThermoSpatula is dishwasher safe.

DO NOT SUBMERGE MAIN CONTROL HANDLE IN WATER.
